2022 has been an especially harsh year when it comes to deaths in Hollywood. Sidney Poitier and Bob Saget were some of the big names who passed away in the very early months of the year. Other stars like Ray Liotta, Paul Sorvino and Anne Heche would later follow in losing their lives.

The latest blow came in the form of Supernatural star Nicki Aycox. The actress was diagnosed with leukemia in early 2021, the illness that would eventually cause her death on November 16, 2022.

Aycox is best known as part of the cast of Supernatural, the Erik Kripke fantasy drama series that aired on The WB and then later on its successor, The CW. Her role spanned the course of only five episodes, but her excellent performances earned her praise from fans and critics alike.

While Aycox will probably always be most synonymous with Supernatural, her life was also quite eventful after the show. As well as multiple other acting credits, she also ventured into music, releasing an EP titled Red Velvet Room in 2015.

Aycox was a delight to work with, according to those who crossed her professional path over the years.
